Carnegie Shortlist Announced

The LRC has just received copies of the books shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal. Our book shadowing group are going to be putting together a presentation on ‘Chains’ by Laurie Halse Anderson and delivering it to other schools in Devon on 24th June. A famous author will be invited to the event and will let us know which of the books has won the prestigious prize. The group will also be judged on the extent to which their presentation would encourage other students to read ‘Chains’.

The Carnegie Club will read all eight books on the shortlist before the event and discuss themes and ideas every Tuesday lunchtime in the LRC. If you’d like to get involved, it’s not too late! If you’re a student or a member of staff at West Exe, come to the LRC on Tuesday 4th May and join our club!
