May 2012 newsletter published!

The West Exe Technology College newsletter for May 2012 is now published.

This issue is our biggest ever, at twenty-four pages, to reflect the many things which have been happening at West Exe. There are photographs and interviews with Olympic Torch bearers Garnet Mackinder, who attended West Exe from 2003-2007, and our popular caretaker Alf Parsons. You can learn about a visit from a famous children’s author to West Exe, our partner primary school Mini Olympics event, Japanese Taiko drumming at West Exe, 2012 UK Maths Challenge success, and the new Brain Food Café. The months since our last issue have been a difficult time, and on page 3 Acting Headteacher Vicki Carah writes about our plans for the next couple of terms and how you can be involved and give us your input. This issue really highlights all that is best at West Exe and what we can offer your child and you. As always, the last page has the vital calendar dates over the next half term for you and your child.
